Nadeem Leigh wows Danny O’Donoghue with U2

The Voice 2013: Nadeem Leigh wows Danny O’Donoghue with U2 & Damien Rice mashup

Nadeem Leigh started his journey on The Voice this evening by paying tribute to his late mother, who died when he was just 19 years old.
The hopeful performer explained to presenters that it was his mum that got him interested in music when he was just a child and introduced him to classic artists such as Stevie Wonder and the Motown singers.
However, Nadeem veered away from this classic soul music when he tried out for Jessie J, Danny O’Donoghue, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue earlier this eyar, however in his bid to make one of the stars turn to face him, chose to perform U2′s ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’ and mash it up with it with Damien Rice’s ‘The Blower’s Daughter’, which is a song we LOVE!
The mix wasn’t bad either and we enjoyed the imagination and musicality in his performance as well as the vocal skill he displayed.
Of course with U2 and Rice both being Irish artists we weren’t in the slightest bit surprised when Danny was first to turn his chair around for Nadeem, though threatening to kill any of the other coaches who followed him may have been a little OTT.

For some reason the other coaches listened to him and Danny was able to secure Nadeem for his team.
Did you enjoy the performance tonight and do you think Danny is the right coach for Leigh? Leave your comments below….
